A New Solo Musical Adventure.
For the first time, I’m working small — playing and singing, one voice, one guitar — and exploring a repertoire of 60s/70s singer-songwriters and my own solo interpretations of more intimate pop hits over the years.
It’s music I’ve always played, and loved; but that I never brought outside the house until now.
I’m excited to share this new musical venture with you. Over the past forty years, I’ve always been in a rock band or musical collaboration of some kind — most of it harder rock, British and American, the stuff you’d play if you grew up when I did, middle school and high school in the late 70s and early 80s, with older siblings who played the day’s hits nonstop on the family phonograph when you were little.
Zeppelin, Who, Aerosmith, Beatles, Deep Purple, ZZTop, Rolling Stones, Van Halen, Clapton, Seger, Bad Co., Creedence, AC/DC, U2, Springsteen, Punk, Laurel Canyon, every British Invader, every band on Where The Action Is, every band on Midnight Special — it’s been my joy to play it all, in some great working bands. I still play it, with some of the best musicians in Detroit.
But this is entirely different.
My current and former bandmates won’t recognize me when I play it — ‘Dude, I didn’t even know you liked this stuff!’ — but this music comes straight from my heart, and it’s my great pleasure to finally share it with others.
I hope you enjoy the videos and the music. And if you’d like to see it at your country club, bar/restaurant patio, or special occasion, please let me know!
